As children grow they still need precious sensory experiences and we have the perfect course for busy hands and growing minds! In this class our students work with a range of textures, tactile materials and discovering new ways to mold and work with clay.

In this Sculpture and Clay Modeling class our children work on different weekly tasks whilst exploring the fascinating world of history too. Children delight in learning the practical uses of clay in the past and in our modern daily lives. We introduce them to some magical projects like the recreation of dogu and haniwa figures from Japanese ancient past, 3D simple geometric shapes and chances for creative work that challenge their language, motor and creative skills.

Content

In future weeks the children will continue to explore:

  • possibilities for using simple geometric shapes
  • modern sculpture
  • modern masterpieces
  • making their own sculptures made of styrofoam
  • differences between painting and sculpture
  • flat, one dimensional works of art vs three dimensional objects
  • ambient art which can be touched or interacted with

Our Teacher

'Dr. Marko' has multiple degrees including a Phd and a Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Belgrade, where he specialised in sculpture. The children benefit from this fantastic experience and overflowing enthusiasm, learning from a gifted and passionate sculptor who loves sharing his knowledge.
