Running Club (Starts October 4th)
Day: Fridays
Times:
4 to 7 Years: 3.00pm to 4.00pm
Our children have many ways to stay fit and healthy but city-kids also need to have a good run! This highly requested course gets children moving, encourages them to challenge themselves, and teaches them the power of the human body!
Our running teachers are all sports enthusiasts with a background in teaching and an eye for safety. The lessons are great fun and incorporate games to teach the kids about running, form and endurance.
At this young age, we focus on the fundamentals aspects that will help prepare children for studying a life-long, enjoyable practice of Martial Arts. Karate will improve your child's balance, coordination, strength, physical and mental toughness, self-confidence, and discipline. Our aim is that through the practice of Karate students will enhance their understanding of:

Builds self-confidence, stamina, aerobic capacity, flexibility, overall body composition, upper/lower body and abdominal strength and endurance.
Goals
Over the weeks we aim to build strength, with a view to having our own ‘mini-kids’ marathon’ on our last lesson! Our mascot Kokomo will be there to cheers the students on and present them all with their medals if they complete the distance.
We aim to promote ongoing and daily fitness activity, healthy eating, good posture, team support and individual achievement
Where?
Lessons take place on our Kspace rooftop and also in the park in good weather. Parents will be required to sign an off-site authorisations form. In the event of rain the children will bring the lesson inside.
Clothing Note
Students must wear to each class:
- The appropriate Kspace uniform T-shirt
- Sports shorts or leggings
- Suitable sports running shoes
- Children need one extra bottle of water and a body/face towel
