Children who are preparing for enrollment interviews, elementary school or need help with their confidence skills. Children must have a sound grasp of English language but may need help with natural pronunciation or practice. This class is open to native English speaking students, Japanese speakers, non-native English speakers and multilingual children.

This course is unique to Kspace and prepares children for more challenging situations that they face as they grow: We begin with exercises designed to place the children in situations that they feel familiar and unfamiliar, and ease them slowly into a position where they feel confident enough to show their true skills and personality. After a while, even when faced with entirely new challenges and circumstances our children learn to SPEAK OUT LOUD! Even the shyest child can turn into a gregarious and well heard member of the group after these lessons!

Through role-play situations, question and answer sessions and other games we encourage them to feel at ease talking openly and to the group. Through drama, self-exploration and discovery we draw out answers, questions and comments from the children. A very important part of the class is that this is a small group and the teacher focuses very specifically on each student’s areas of development. Role-plays, skits and games encourage eye contact, positive body language, poise, clear speech and composure. Within a month or so the children answer questions freely, react more calmly under pressure, listen to and understand commands and generally interact with adults and their surroundings far better. We use vocal exercises and voice training to get them to project. We also work on manners, positive group interaction and independent work activities.
