Our ESL Elementary students have two options to join us for an exciting afternoon of fun and English language study. The Wednesday class is planned so they can join us after their regular school, and Saturdays are arranged so that they can come along after clubs, ‘juku’ or at their own pace! We see best results when children attend regularly, so come along for both sessions if you can and join us for a great chance to experience an afternoon of fun at an international school!

Rather than just a single hour, this programme offers a full afternoon of varied studies in English. Children enjoy lessons taught by native English speaking teachers who have years of ESL teaching experience and who are senior staff in our main school.

Enrollment

Enrollment is at any time during the school year, dependant upon availability.

Language Level

This programme is designed for:

• Children with a basic foundation in English
• Children who have English as a second language at home
• Children who need to build confidence or need continuity to improve their English

Content

The course includes:

• Themed role-plays
• Conversation and practical English, with our typical upbeat Kspace style and memorable teaching techniques
• Catchy, easy-to-remember songs
• Creative arts and craft
• Physical activity
• Teacher/student costumes and props

Wednesday

4.00 to 5.00 pm	Choice of creative after-school subjects with our main school children
5.00 to 6.00 pm	ESL Hour - Phonics of the Week, Theme Relevant Vocabulary, Theme Dialogue and Role-Play
6.00 to 6.30 pm	Snack & Song Time (hot catered snack and theme relevant songs)
6.30 to 6.45 pm	English Games (in the gym)
6.45 to 7.00 pm	Homework Help (homework re- view, comprehension check and new homework explanation)

Notes

From 3.00pm to 4.00pm we have a range of afterschool classes that can be added to the above schedule.

Saturday

3.00 to 4.00 pm	Choice of creative after-school subjects with our main school children

Notes

Children can join us from 2.00pm if they wish to add an extra hour for Extension Time.
They can stay from 6.00pm to 7.00pm if they wish to stay longer – this is also Extension Time.
