Art Inspired by Music provides elementary aged children the opportunity to explore the special relationship between music and art. Using music as a starting point to inspire a visual response, the activities encourage children to use many different materials and artistic techniques to make beautiful two and three dimensional artwork.

Each project is linked to a theme or genre of music and most classes have a short musical activity other than pure listening as a starting point. The emphasis however is  on the visual arts using  a familiar piece of music as inspiration. The musical activities are therefore brief. 

Class Projects Include; Music for Festivals, Music with a Message, Music and Seasons, Music and Space, Music and Artists, Music and Animals, Music from Literature, Music and Dance, Music and the Elements, Music and the Sea, World Music, Music and Food.
